WHERE IS JUSTICES?

I'm in bad mood today, the number of unread email on my mailbox made me crazy. So I'm going to randomly blog about something here to make me feel better. One thing really pissed me off these days, is the things happened on Szeto Wah. He was accused of broadcasting on radio illegally because he had participated in a programme about June 4th on "civil radio". It is really shocking to me, it really shows that how today's government use the law to do what they want. Well, I was once really wanted to study Journalism or Law (one reason why I got those law textbook ..), and I did believed that Law or doing good journalism can change something.  But now....

Creative Commons Workshop

Today morning I went to the Creative Commons Workshop organized (officially) by the HKU CEDAR. In fact, I'm a bit nervous at the presentation since this is the first time I speak publicly in English, and I don't really know what should I demonstrate .... (well, licensing under Creative Commons Licenses seems too easy and obvious, right?) Surprisingly,  I felt quite happy with this workshop since I found many of the participants are "new faces", so I'm pretty sure that they learned about what Creative Commons is through the great talk given by Rebecca, Edmund and Jack Qiu. After the workshop, I've got some university students come up and told me they are interested in joining the Intellectual Property Issues Watch! So now we've got 5 new people and I'm looking forward to organize the next meet-up :-) Really happy to meet some new/old friends here too! I really want to meet with and talk to the legal team working on localizing creative commons licenses, I really appreciate their work, unfortunately I didn't have the chance today... Anyway, here are some photo by me, and a pretty ladies took some great photo too. (I know, my photo cannot compare with .... alright!)

Facebook now if you want to find a relationship

Somebody got into trouble by pulling statistic data from facebook, and techcrunch have a coverage on it. One interesting thing is, from the demographic data, one can found that the ratio of male and female user is 36.12 to 63.88. That breaks the normal perception (at least at my age of Internet) of Internet is geeky and most of the players are male. I can still remember the day when Internet was described as "Internet is for porn"... In the case of China, we've even got 71.64% as female users! Is  that because female are more social and keen on social networking? What's the meaning and influence of this finding? Does that means Facebook should consider selling female-oriented advertisement on it's platform? Or maybe~ it just means that if you want to find a relationship you better spend more time poking others on facebook :-)
